Ceramics Open Studio

Ceramics Open Studio takes place Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

When you register, select your preferred day, and stay for as short or as long as you would like during the 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. time frame! The cost for Open Studio is $55 per nonmember per month, or $45 per member per month. Attendees may bring their own clay or purchase a 25-pound bag of clay from MassMu for $25. Any outside clay must be approved by the Ceramics Studio Manager. All Open Studio registrants must have taken a pottery class previously, whether at MassMu or another institution, and must complete a screening survey to show they are comfortable working independently because Open Studio is not led by an instructor. The MassMu LL kilns fire at 04/06 for bisque firing and 6 for glaze firing. Please note the Massillon Museum Ceramics Studio is an educational space operated by a nonprofit organization and therefore cannot accommodate production potters.
