My creative journey began over 50 years ago and started with oil painting. I then went on to sewing, crocheting and knitting. After that I began an 18 year journey with stained glass – a medium that still fascinates me today. I then began beading, opened a bead store and, of course, fell in love with beading (still my love of glass). I also learned the old art of Kumihimo which is Japanese braiding. At the same time I became a Certified Zentangle Teacher; Zentangle is a creative, therapeutic and meditative art form – drawing one stroke at a time and creating beautiful abstract art. (Everyone can do this) I closed my store after 9 years. I then discovered alcohol inks which soon became another addiction for me. After a couple of years, I happen to see a video on You-tube about acrylic paint pouring and that is where I am right now. I make art because it feeds my soul. I am always so amazed to see the results of all the art forms I have done. There is something about the creative process that fascinates and satisfies me like nothing else does. It can be very empowering and very humbling. I would encourage everyone to try some kind of art. Everyone is creative in their own way and the pleasure derived from experimenting is so satisfying.
