News Release:  MassMu Celebrates March Second Saturday

The Massillon Museum will celebrate the community’s Second Saturday by keeping the galleries open until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14.  From 5:00 to 7:00 that evening, art teacher Gary Spangler will lead a free arts activity for all ages.  Admission to the Massillon Museum is always free.

Visitors can view the Ninth Annual Ohio Collage Society Exhibition; the Studio M Paintings by Mary Lou Eberly exhibition; Sean Qualls: Published and Unpublished Illustrations; Paul Brown: The Professional Years; Massillon and the War of the Rebellion: Women and the War; It’s Been Awhile; Politics, Pantaloons, and Protest Marches; an exhibition commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Massillon Area Chamber of Commerce; and Black and Orange Cinema: Film Noir and Massillon, Ohio. The Immel Circus diorama and Oscar the skeleton are always on display.

Anderson’s in the City, the lobby café, will host a drum circle from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.  Everyone is welcome to participate.  The Museum shop, OHregionalities, will be open, and guests can pose for a fun photostrip in the vintage photobooth.

The Massillon Museum receives operating support from the Ohio Arts Council and ArtsinStark.
