News Release:  Anderson’s in the City to Offer “Craft and Coffee” as Part of The Big Read 

Come for lattes or chai and create a beautiful “I Love to Read” craft made from recycled books during Craft and Coffee at Anderson’s in the City on Saturday, April 16, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Part of The Big Read, the casual class and coffee session is intended to enhance the experience of reading In the Time of the Butterflies, the 2016 book selection. The story is set in the Dominican Republic during the turbulent 1950s. 

The class fee is $20 per person. Register by April 15 in person or by calling 330-833-7255.  Anderson’s in the City is located at 121 Lincoln Way East in downtown Massillon—in the lobby of the Massillon Museum.  Free parking is available on adjacent streets and in the nearby city lots and parking deck. 

The Big Read is a National Endowment for the Arts initiative to return leisure reading to America. The NEA presents The Big Read in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services and in cooperation with Arts Midwest. The Big Read brings together partners across the country to encourage reading for pleasure and enlightenment. 

Support for the local program is also provided by The Women’s Fund Endowment of the Stark Community Foundation, Massillon/North Canton Elks #2029, and Rotary Club of Massillon.
