The Massillon Museum offers a variety of volunteer opportunities such as: baking or working at special events, preparing bulk mailings, working at the front desk and Museum shop, and assisting with research and collection projects.

The Museum is supported by over 120 volunteers who contribute over 5,000 hours of their time and talents annually to the functioning of daily operations and special activities. Our volunteers are an integral part of the Museum and invaluable to the Museum’s overall success.

Volunteering is a great way to meet interesting people and make new friends. It is also a lot of fun! If you like interacting with people and enjoy art and history, then consider a volunteer position at the Massillon Museum. You may volunteer as little as once or twice a year or you may prefer working as often as weekly. Volunteer interests usually determine the frequency of individual work schedules.
A volunteer appreciation dinner is held annually for our volunteers. During the program, special gifts are presented to each volunteer. An added benefit for volunteers includes a discount in the Museum shop.
