Information About Renting Massillon Museum Facilities:
Ten six-foot tables are available. Café tables and chairs may also
be used when the lobby is rented. Advance notice is required for use of
the tables. The Museum has no linens; we recommend renting from Canton
Chair Rental.
Lobby set-up can begin no earlier than 3:00 p.m. Commercially rented tables,
chairs, and linens, must be delivered and picked up during regular Museum
hours and Museum staff must be notified in advance.
A CD system in the Silk Room may be used upon request. A band may be hired
for lobby and gallery rentals, but the Museum has no sound system for
their use.
The Fred F.Silk Community Room displays Studio
M artwork, which changes every month.
The Museum does not cater. You must provide your own food or hire a caterer.
Food and drink are prohibited in the gallery without specific permission
from the director.
Supplies may be delivered the afternoon before the rental if there is
nothing scheduled for rental on that day. However, the Museum is not responsible
for lost items. No decorating may be done until the day of the event.
Rentals include no kitchen access. We recommend using a caterer or using
chafing dishes to warm food.
Plates, glassware, and flatware in Silk Room cupboards and drawers are
not available for rental use.
The Museum has a projection screen available for use, however, there is
no projector available.
The Museum strictly prohibits posting signs related to rental events.
The Museum receptionist will direct guests to your event.
Download our forms to see the checklist of
Renter's clean-up duties. Renters are responsible for complete clean-up
including trash removal. Renters must bring their own trash bags, paper
products, cleaning supplies, etc.
