In conjunction with its 75th Anniversary Celebration in 2008, the Massillon Museum invites everyone to submit stories about their favorite Museum experiences for inclusion on the Museum's website and in a special binder that will be displayed during the anniversary exhibition.
Do you remember Albert Hise changing the big disks of the Regina music box and playing its cheerful music? The pioneer kitchen? The coal mine? The grandfather clock? Did you spend time in the science room observing the alligator, the bees, the iguana? Do you remember the intruiguing shell room? Did you try to scare your friends by opening the door to Oscar's cabinet?
The Museum welcomes stories about classes with Joanne Lattavo and Marc Moon; about volunteering at the Sidewalk Show; about working on womanıs board projects with Mary Merwin.
Memories will be posted on the website, and the binder will be displayed during the Museum's summer 2008 exhibition currently on display until September 14, 2008, which features treasures from the collection as well as special objects and displays that were popular throughout the institutionıs history. Many events and activities will accompany the anniversary exhibition.
